Your Routine Today Will Determine Your Life Tomorrow

You are the sum of your habits – they determine your actions, and your actions give you the results you get, which create the life you are living. Your life right now is the sum of all your past habits because you are where your past actions have put you.

If you are currently working on your personal growth, this should help you realize that you have not yet seen the results of those recent actions in your life. You are living with your decisions of the past.

What this also tells you is that you can always make a change. You can always move to the next level of your life.

What changes have you not made that you want to make in your routine? It could be exercise, meditation, writing, your new project – whatever it is, now is the time to start. The changes you make now will reap their reward in the future.

The Results are Inevitable

Sometimes we make so many changes to our routines that we can’t tell when the result is coming or when we will obtain what we want. No matter what, keep going. It does not matter that the results are not here yet because they will inevitably come.

Just think about it. If you change to a healthier diet, you will inevitably become healthier. If you work out more and smarter, your body will inevitably change. If you decide to read more, little by little, all of the knowledge will change your brain, and you will think differently. You will become smarter and better at making decisions.

Have faith. Take the actions, work on your process, and the results will come independently.

Change is gradual and not at all sudden. If you compare yourself from one day to the next, you will not notice any variation, not even month to month. But if you take a picture of yourself in a year, or two, or five or ten, the change will jump out. Take each step. Keep moving forward, working towards what you want, and putting those good habits into your routine.

Setting Up Your Schedule

You can continually upgrade your life and your results. The way to do it is first to define your priorities. Start with one, and then put it into your schedule. Add each habit one at a time, making sure each new habit sticks. Once it is in place, add in a new one. Then, keep building your schedule to what you need it to be.

Those actions you take daily will start creating the outcomes you have been seeking, and those outcomes will create the life you are living. So, focus on your every day. Take each step, and do it as well as you can. As you learn, improve each of your habits. For example, you may first add exercise into your schedule and then learn to exercise better. From there, you do the same with all your other habits. Gradually but inevitably, you will improve and start noticing how your life shifts.

Above all, enjoy the process of becoming. It is all about the process, and the results are the gift from it.
