The rollercoaster continues, and it will continue no matter what. Life is impermanence, and that’s okay. That is the game, and we cannot change it.
This is exactly why it’s important to constantly question if what you are doing is important and makes you happy. Sometimes we keep doing things out of habit, but they are no longer aligned with who we currently are or want to be.
Learning how to do something once is only half the story – the real gold is in improving these skills every day. We can improve everywhere – not just at work but also personally.
Each year is an opportunity to take a step back, reflect on the prior year, and start afresh with new ideas and a new direction. Take the time to look back on 2022. And then let’s turn the page and start 2023, so that this year may be your strongest yet!
I still have lots of work to do, because we are onions with many different layers, and I can’t wait to see what other gifts I will find as I continue to grow and evolve.
We are like bamboo when they are starting to grow. Before growing, bamboo develops a complex root system below the ground, unseen. And then, when the bamboo’s roots are ready, the stalks shoot up, seemingly out of nowhere.
With time, the people you teach will improve. As they improve, you will improve – “a rising tide lifts all boats.” Those you teach will teach you more than what you teach them, and you will feel fulfilled because you made this beautiful world a little bit better.
You are the sum of your habits – they determine your actions, and your actions give you the results you get, which create the life you are living. Your life right now is the sum of all your past habits because you are where your past actions have put you.
We are here to learn. Sometimes we don’t want to stray because it will take us out of our comfort zone, and we have so much to do anyway that who has the time? But do it anyway. You will not regret it.
